Karine Sar, Founder and Executive Director of from Deline’s Gift (www.delinesgift.org) presented how their organization equips disadvantaged and underserved women with tools and opportunity to emerge and stay out of extreme poverty.  Their work gives disadvantaged women a voice, profitable skills, resources and the opportunity to create better futures for themselves, their children and communities.

Deline’s Gift is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 to empower impoverished, disabled, displaced and under-served women and children of Senegal through vocational training, interest-free micro loans and essential resources.  They are run by a group of passionate and determined professionals dedicated to making a positive impact on the world and driven by the vision of disadvantaged women as producers of solutions to their problems, not mere consumers. They want to be known for creating unprecedented opportunity for the women of Senegal to rise above poverty and meet their critical needs.  Rather than give handouts, they design training and financially based solutions that promote self-reliance and enable women to continue scaling impact long after completing their two-year graduation program. Through this integrated approach, women are able to improve their condition, climb out of the poverty trap and avoid falling back into it.

Deline’s Gift sold products made by the women from her organization- key chains, soaps, and hand creams during the Networking Hour.
