Lori A. Greenawalt
Lori is the partner in charge of the Philadelphia Internal Audit Regulatory and Compliance practice in the Philadelphia office of KPMG. She came to KPMG eight years ago after an 18 year external audit career with Andersen. She provides Advisory Services which include internal audit co-source services as well as SOX assistance, Contract Compliance and various other advisory and compliance services to her clients.
Lori is a founder of the Philadelphia Office KNOW ("KPMG's Network of Women") chapter and actively promotes women's initiatives internally and in the business community. Lori recently worked with KPMG's national leadership to form KPMG's Executive Leadership Institute for Women, a leadership development program offered to KPMG and corporate female business leaders alike. The Institute is currently available in the Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington DC areas and includes participants from the many of the most recognized and respected companies operating in those geographies. Lori also serves on KPMG's National Women's Advisory Board.
Lori is passionate about involvement in community and world travel. She is on the Board of the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia and has taught 7th and 8th grade Sunday school for 14 years. She volunteers with Medical Ministry International in Peru each spring handling logistics and patient flow and records for village clinics. Lori was recognized by KPMG as a Chairman's Award Winner for her commitment to Volunteerism.
Lori has recently traveled to Mali West Africa in support of an investment initiative associated with Millennium Promise of Columbia University's Earth Institute. Lori has traveled to all seven continents in her world travels and has visited relief efforts in many as she tries to immerse into the culture and the daily lives and struggles.
Lori is a strong supporter of micro lending and a member of Women International Leaders where the focus is on micro-lending on a global basis. She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women where she serves on the Mentoring Committee and as a mentor in their Mentoring Circle program.
Lori was also recognized as a Women of Distinction in 2007 by the Philadelphia Business Journal and was the recipient of the American Women's Society of CPA's 2007 Public Service Award. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (magna cum laude) from Cedarville University.
